Ham Yard Project Update

Firmdale Hotels have recently submitted an application to Westminster City Council for planning permission of a hotel-led mixed use development.

I am particularly that apart from the high quality architectural finishes and new public space that the application includes significant new works of art and a public drinking fountain which, if permission is granted will be the first new drinking fountain to be created in West End Ward for many decades. They will also be planting semi-mature trees within the development, providing green roofs and making provision for hens and bees on the roofs of the hotel.

In a further move Firmdale have agreed with Soho School to make there new theatre available for use by the school for their regular events during the year. Firmdale have also offered to provide the sum of £431,000 to provide for the cost of social housing elsewhere within Westminster as it did not prove possible to include such provision within the development itself.

The exhibition boards below provides detailed information about the Scheme and also gives you the opportunity to ask your questions and make any comments to Westminster City Council by quoting the reference 10/06798/FULL.
