Ziggy Stardust Honoured with First Black Plaque

David Bowie's legendary creation Ziggy Stardust was honoured today by the unveiling of a Black Plaque on Heddon Street, off Regent Street in London’s West End.

40 years ago David Bowie was photographed outside the furriers K.WEST for the iconic album cover which created a character which influenced a generation of music lovers.

The Black Plaque was supported by the Crown Estate and Westminster Council who wanted to honor the fictional character but could not put up a more traditional blue or green plaque.
