Improving Air Quality Across Westminster

Conservatives on Westminster City Council have taken further action to deal with air pollution in our area.

From 4th February Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) will be issued to repeat offenders who ignore calls to turn off their car engines when they are not moving.

Residents may know that in 2016 it became an offence in Westminster to leave a vehicle’s engine running while stationary for more than a minute, and while on-the-spot fines were introduced, the new update will go further to improving our environment.
