Supporting The Bloomsbury Association Against London’s First Underground Hotel
Alongside colleagues from Westminster and Camden Council’s, local MPs and members of the GLA I have expressed my disappointment over the planning inspectorate’s recent decision to grant consent to an underground hotel.
The proposals relate to an application to convert an underground car park on the corner of Great Russell Street and Tottenham Court Road into a 166-bedroom hotel located four and five levels beneath the former YMCA, now the 720 room St. Giles Hotel.
